Jeff Jobe named vice chair of Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Commission

The 13th annual Conference of the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Commission was held Nov. 14 and Jeff Jobe, publisher and CEO of Jobe Publishing, was nominated and elected as vice chair.

Each year, nominations are taken from the board and voted on for vice chair and traditionally, the vice chair moves up to the chair in the next year.

Jobe has had a varied newspaper career including New York, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, and Canada.

In 1998, Jobe and his wife, Susan, created Jobe Publishing, Inc.. The new company was formed with the single purchase of their first newspaper, The Butler County Banner, and since then JPI has managed to create a marketing package for readers and advertisers to include South-Central Kentucky’s largest printing company, eight weekly newspapers, a full-service marketing agency, and the region’s first business and industry news source, The South-Central Business Journal.

Today, Jobe Publishing is reaching new readership highs.

The Jobes first formed their partnership while earning their undergraduate degrees from the University of Kentucky and they now live in Glasgow with their three children, Wyatt, Reagan, and McKenna.

Jobe sits on several local and state boards, various service organizations, including the Kentucky Press Association Board of Directors
