Sponsor your local schools in the Kentucky High School Journalism Association

Dear Kentucky publisher or editor:

The Kentucky High School Journalism Association, founded 19 years ago by the Kentucky Press Association, needs your help. For a modest sum of $50, your newspaper can sponsor your area high schools in KHSJA. It’s a tremendous way to promote newspapers, the newspaper industry and journalism, in general. And you don’t even have to send us a check. We can deduct the $50 from your next KPS ad revenue check.

KHSJA offers students and teachers workshops and an annual convention to sharpen their skills, in addition to our annual journalism contest for high school newspapers, yearbooks and broadcast programs. For the last several years, nearly 100 schools across the state have joined KHSJA each school year  – more than 70 percent sponsored by a local newspaper!

Kentucky’s newspaper industry can be proud of its efforts in supporting and mentoring the next generation of journalists. You can make your local high school(s) a member of the Kentucky High School Journalism Association by completing the sponsorship form and returning it to:

Kentucky High School Journalism Association, c/o Kentucky Press Association, 101 Consumer Lane, Frankfort, KY 40601

Just click the link below to access the sponsorship form. Or you can fax the form to us at 502-226-3867. Be sure to call the school(s) you sponsor and let them know you’re sponsoring them in KHSJA. They will really appreciate it!
